Beautiful Iris

Beautiful Iris

If you have Irises, it is now time to dig and separate them. First, cut them to 6"to 8" in height, then dig and separate them and space about 2 feet apart, depending on your flower garden plan. They will fill in in the next year as they bloom.
For your daffodills, you do NOT cut them back. They need to keep the stems and leaves attached to feed nutrition back into the roots. Braid the stems and leaves and then roll them down to ground level and just secure them against the soil. If you choose to move your daffodils, now is the time to do that.
